Canadian Mental Health Association Peel Branch (CMHA Peel) is the leading client-driven, community-based mental health organization serving the Region of Peel. In addition to providing a variety of mental health services, we are committed to community development, mental health awareness and addressing the stigma surrounding mental illness. Donation Information Ride Don’t Hide raises awareness and funds that make a significant impact in our community. Funds raised from this event will help CMHA/Peel’s Mental Health Promotion program and initiatives, which help clients in recovery, educate the public about mental health, foster awareness and shift public attitudes. Our Mental Health Promotion team deliver recovery services and access to support programs, as well as providing information, referrals and resource materials to individuals and families throughout the communities we serve. Mental illness, like all health issues, responds best to early diagnosis, treatment and other supportive interventions. Increased awareness and access to information ensures that individuals and families know where to turn for help and support. By participating in Ride Don’t Hide Peel you can help break through the debilitating stigma associated with mental illness, encourage people to get help before problems become crisis, and empower individuals to maintain good mental health in their own lives. We need your support to make this happen. By working in partnership, we can change the face of mental illness.
