Can you feel the momentum? We can! We can’t wait welcome you to Ride Don’t Hide on June 25 and want you to have the best ride possible! Here are a few things you might want to think about:
- Bike Check – Ensure your bike is in good working order. Check that there are no big cuts in your tires, your brakes feel secure, and your tires have the right level of air pressure.
- Safety Check – Take time to review traffic rules and hand signals, and be courteous about leaving enough room between yourself and other cyclists.
- Meal Plan – Think about what you will eat the night before and for breakfast the day of. Choose familiar foods you know won’t have a negative impact on your ride. For our longer distance riders, you may want to pack energy gels, bars and drinks to keep you going mid-ride.
- Gear and Apparel – Lay out what you need a few days in advance. That way you’ll have time find anything you might be missing. Things to consider are comfortable cycling clothing, water bottles, bike repair kits, sun screen, rain/eye protection and of course, your bike helmet.
